Despite the shelling and anxiety, the cultural life of Kyiv is flourishing. I visited the play “A Very Sad Man” by Oleksandr Klimov and the director Evgenia Vidishcheva in the wild theater known for its extraordinaryness. There he had the opportunity to meet the founder of the theater, Yaroslava Kravchenko.
At the center of the black comedy with elements of mysticism is the story of a lonely man who has lost everything: work, love and dreams. He decides to put an end to the roof of the house, but meets a cat who offers him a deal.
The main topic is adoption of homeless animals. The creators consider the project not only as an artistic event, but also as a way to remind society about the importance of care and responsibility for those around you. I really liked it, I recommend it to you too.
