Felix Auger-Aliassime (25, #8 ATP) defeated world number 3 Alexander Zverev (28), 6-4, 7-6(4), and qualified for the semi-finals of the ATP Finals, where he will face world leader Carlos Alcaraz (22).

The other semi-final will be played between Jannik Sinner (24 years old, #2 ATP) and Alex De Minaur (26 years old, #7 ATP).

Felix Auger-Aliassime had the first problems on his own serve at 2-2 in the first set, but the Canadian managed to save the German's first break point.

Zverev had another chance to win on his opponent's serve at 4-4, but Auger-Aliassime saved another break point, and then managed to establish himself on the German's serve, earning his fourth break point.

In the second act, the Canadian managed to defend two consecutive break points at 2-2 and also missed 3 opportunities to dominate the opponent's serve.

The second set ended in a tie-break, where the Canadian managed the first mini-break, but the German came back quickly, and until the score was 4-4 it went head to head.

From there, Auger-Aliassime managed to win 3 straight points, including two on Zverev's serve, and qualified for the semifinals of the tournament, from the 2nd place in Group B, won by Jannik Sinner. This group also included Ben Shelton, who did not manage a single point, winning only one set and losing 6, in the 3 matches.

Group A was won without emotion by Carlos Alcaraz, who won all 3 matches. Alex De Minaur, with one win, took 2nd place from the group that also included Taylor Fritz and Lorenzo Musetti.
