“Exiled” to Turda, U-BT Cluj-Napoca put on a show and defeated a team from the powerful Spanish championship

Having to play in Turda, due to the fact that a series of concerts supported by Andre Rieu takes place in BTarena, U-BT Cluj-Napoca played an excellent game against BAXI Manresa, in the 7th stage of the EuroCup, and prevailed with 110-86, reaching a record of 4-3.
A few moments after the final whistle of the match in the Adriatic League, between U-BT Cluj-Napoca and Borac Cacak, the organizing team of the Romanian champion started the preparation process for the confrontation with BAXI Manresa. The floor in BTarena was dismantled and transported with a shot to Turda, where on Tuesday night, after Potaissa Turda's handball match, it was installed in Turda Arena.

Mihai Silvășan's students fully rewarded the efforts made and had a spectacular evolution, dominating Manresa, a team from the powerful Spanish championship. All the players sent by the Transylvanian coach to the field had a significant contribution, but the leaders were Trey Woodbury, Daron Russell and Mitch Creek.
The Romanian champions impressed with an extremely solid attack and a defense that often forced the visitors to try to score from outside the semi-circle. The Catalans managed many “impossible” throws, but they could not stop the Cluj offensive again U-BT Cluj-Napoca won 110-86.
The leaders of the “students” were Trey Woodbury (26 points), Daron Russell (23 points), Mitch Creek (14 points) and Dusan Miletic (10 points).
On the other side, Alfonso Plummer (17 points), Golden (16 points), Hugo Benitez (13 points), Louis Olinde (13 points) and Agustin Ubal (12 points) stood out.
It felt good to have a good match. Colleagues, coaches had faith in me, so it's a big victory for the team. Obviously, the standings are balanced and every match counts in the EuroCup. As the coach said, we have to move forward and focus on the next game

A very successful game, obviously, at least from an offensive point of view. I am very happy with the way I have evolved. 110 points scored. But the defense also worked well even though we scored 86 points. The pace was very alert. There were two teams that played at a very, very high speed.
This is what we and they are used to. And that automatically gives more possessions to score points from. But the 28 assists and 42 rebounds we had shows a lot about our character and how much we wanted to play as a team and fight for every ball to get this win
