Carlos Alcaraz achieved his second victory at the ATP Finals

Carlos Alcaraz (22, 2 ATP) won his second ATP Finals victory in Turin after defeating Taylor Fritz (28, 6 ATP) 6-7 (2), 7-5, 6-3.
Carlos Alcaraz wants to end the season with a trophy in his hands, especially since it is one that is missing from his record. “This year is a bit different. I'm very proud of the way I've done things to get here with motivation. I'm very excited and I'm looking forward to playing some great tennis and giving myself a chance to try to win the trophy,” he said before the start of the tournament.
The Spaniard ticked off his second victory in the “Jimmy Connors” group of the ATP Finals in Turin. After getting past Alex de Minaur in straight sets on Tuesday, he defeated Taylor Fritz in a close match.
The confrontation between the players who prevailed in the first match at the ATP Finals started under the sign of balance, and this was also confirmed by the fact that in the first set a tie-break was needed to be decided.
The American lost his first serve in the third game, but made the re-break immediately, in a very good first set for him. In the tie-break, he was still the better player and prevailed 7-2 against a Carlos Alcaraz who collected several unforced errors.

With his shots fine-tuned and inspiration found, Carlos Alcaraz played much better in the decider, finishing the match with a convincing 6-3. It was the Spaniard's fifth win over the American, who has beaten him just once, at the Laver Cup, this year.

Present for the third time at the year-end ball, in addition to the trophy, the Spaniard also has a stake in this competition.
He can return to the top spot in the world rankings, where Jannik Sinner is, if he reaches the finals with a group win or if he ticks off three group wins.
