The ex-wife of the composer Horia Moculescu, Mariana Moculescu, reacted for the first time after learning that her ex-husband was urgently hospitalized with serious health problems. She also explained the reasons why she does not intend to visit him.

Composer Horia Moculescu, 88 years old, is interned at the “Matei Balș” Institute, in the ATI section. Medical sources said doctors are doing everything possible, but the chances are slim due to multiple ailments.
“In autumn, some lung diseases, such as Horia's, become more acute. He has done this in other years as well. My guess, from what I've been looking into, that the two of us aren't talking, is that his life is not in danger, it is not now the end, as many think. Such is old age. Don't worry so much about him, because he still has a long and good life to live, he takes care of himself, he eats well, he also has some concerts scheduled in November. I hope it won't be a stage game to attract people to his shows this month. The vices that affected his health
Mariana Moculescu told how Horia Moculescu's addiction affected his health over the years.
“He smoked a lot, three packs, 60 cigarettes a day, that smoke and all the chemicals destroyed his lungs, now he's on oxygen and at home. He was a vicious man. He gambled, he was even obsessed. When he ran out of money, he played poker with matchsticks. And he smoked a lot, he was always in a nervous state, because he kept losing money at the grocery store. He also smokes Cuban cigarettes, from sheets, very strong. He quit smoking when I told him to put out the cigarette in the ashtray I had filled with hyacinth buds. I say: Do you see how the flowers sizzle when you put out the cigarette? The same goes for your lungswhen you smoke. I wish him health, but I wouldn't go to him, to the hospital. He made me very angry, because of him I was left without a house and I live in rent. He also took my girl, Nidia. But, being the father of my daughter, I wish her health! He is a very talented composer, an exceptional soloist, but he was not a good man to me. It broke my soul“, added the ex-wife.
