Animal behavior specialists have developed a guide for children and adults on the rules of behavior when meeting stray dogs. The advice of animal psychologist Elena Goncharova and animal inspector of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Kristina Labutina is shared in the administration of Krasnoyarsk.

Experts advise avoiding places where stray animals gather and not approaching them. If you meet by chance, you need to remain calm, do not try to pet the dog and do not run away. Children are prohibited from feeding stray animals unless accompanied by an adult.

If a dog is showing aggression, you should not turn your back to it or look directly into its eyes. You should slowly move sideways without making sudden movements. If attacked, you need to protect your face and neck, use a bag or umbrella as a barrier, and if you fall, curl up into a ball.

If a dangerous situation arises, Krasnoyarsk residents can call: 005 or 223-85-05. Experts emphasize that the main rule is not to provoke conflict and act confidently, but carefully.
