A nine-month-old baby died after being attacked by a dog at a house in Rogiet, Monmouthshire, south-east Wales. The tragedy occurred on Sunday, November 2.

According to a Gwent County Police spokesman, at around 6 p.m. local time, officers were called to a property on Crossway Street in Rogiet following a report of a dog attack.

Police officers and paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service arrived at the scene. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of rescuers, the life of the nine-month-old child could not be saved.

However, investigation vehicles remained at the scene and the house on Crossway Street remained under surveillance by two officers. Gwent County Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
