A new, large amusement park will be built in Poland. We know the location

The company currently has three large amusement parks in Poland: Majaland Kownaty (opened in 2018) and Majaland Warszawa (which opened in 2022) and Majaland Gdańsk (which opened last year). A new park is to be built in Silesia. However, the new project does not necessarily have to be another Majaland.
“It will be a completely new concept,” says Wouter Dekkers, president of Momentum Leisure. “We still address our offer to families, focusing on a slightly older age group,” he adds.
The company purchased a plot of 67,000 sq m for the project. m and secured a total of EUR 50 million in new financing for the construction of the park – we read in the press release.
Construction works are scheduled to start at the end of 2025, and the facility is expected to open in mid-2027. – announces Momentum Leisure.
“With the fourth park, we are continuing our development strategy in Poland, expanding our operations to the border regions with Germany and the Czech Republic, which together constitute a market of over 40 million inhabitants. Thanks to the strategic location of three existing parks and the new park in Gliwice, guests from all over Poland and neighboring regions will soon have Momentum Leisure facilities within just a few hours' drive” – this is how the company explains its strategy.
The company also notes that its strategy is to “connect theme parks with large shopping and entertainment complexes.”
In addition to Poland, the company is also expanding its operations in Romania, where it recently acquired land for an investment in Bucharest.
Meanwhile, the Polish market for large amusement parks is becoming more and more crowded. The biggest player is, of course, still Energylandia in Zator. With each passing year, the competition increases. A few months ago, for example, Hossoland was launched in Western Pomerania. This park is located near the Baltic Sea coast, but also close to the German border – and the company does not hide the fact that the facility was intended to attract mainly customers from Germany.
