According to preliminary information, on October 30 at about 21.15 near the village of Zhirovka, Lviv district, the driver of a Nissan car with military license plates lost control at a turn – the car drove off the roadway and crashed into a truck, which at that time was standing still, the report says.
As a result of the collision, the driver and two passengers of the Nissan car, as well as a passenger in the truck, also a military man, who was just getting out of the cab of the car, died, the press service added.
Investigators and employees of the State Bureau of Investigation inspected the scene of the incident, seized material evidence, interviewed witnesses and began a set of measures to clarify all the circumstances of the accident, the bureau notes.
Based on the fact of the incident, criminal proceedings were initiated under Part 2 of Art. 415 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the rules of driving or operating vehicles, resulting in the death of several people).
