An explosion in a house on Ternopilskaya Street occurred at approximately 15.00 and destroyed three floors. There were preliminary reports of a domestic gas explosion.
“We cannot say that this is a gas explosion, previously, there were such ideas, but now, when gas workers are working on the site, they have a slightly different vision,” Novachok said.
He did not provide further details.
The head of the Khmelnitsky regional military administration, Sergei Tyurin, in a comment to Suspilny, said that one of the versions is the detonation of an explosive object.
“The police are working, an investigation is underway. The relevant services are working. I would also ask the journalistic media community to refrain now from making clear conclusions regarding one version or another. There are different ones. As soon as there is an appropriate expert assessment, we will be able to say affirmatively about this,” he noted.
Context
Nine apartments were destroyed as a result of the explosion, and another 15 were damaged. Five people were injured, including one child. Tyurin reported that they were looking for a woman born in 1973 under the rubble.
