One dead and three injured in a road accident in Harghita county. A SMURD helicopter was requested

One person died, and three others were injured and transported to hospitals, following a road accident that occurred on Sunday, in Harghita county, in which two cars were involved.

The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Harghita reported that the accident took place in the town of Voşlăbeni, involving two vehicles and four people who were in them, writes Agerpres.

Three of the victims remained incarcerated and were extracted by the firefighters from the Gheorgheni Detachment, but one was in cardio-respiratory arrest. A medical crew applied resuscitation maneuvers, but later the victim was declared dead.

The other three injured people were transported to the Gheorgheni Municipal Hospital and the Miercurea Ciuc County Emergency Hospital.

At the accident, a SMURD helicopter was requested to pick up one of the victims.

The police are to establish the circumstances in which the accident occurred.
