Former Minister of Education of the Penza Region Alexei Komarov was detained in Moscow. He is suspected of abuse of power.
According to our information, the case is related to lobbying of business interests for kickbacks in the post of minister. Preliminarily, we are talking about 16 million rubles. Komarov was detained by officers of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Penza region.
His last position was as an adviser to the regional governor. He stayed there for two weeks and was fired.
