On the night of September 9-10, Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by drones during the night attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine. The drones, which posed a direct threat, were shot down by Polish and allied air forces. In Wyryki-Wola (Lublin Voivodeship), the roof of a residential house was destroyed and a passenger car was damaged. The investigation into this case is being conducted by the District Prosecutor's Office in Lublin.

Councilors of the Lublin Voivodeship assembly unanimously awarded PLN 70,000 during Thursday's session. PLN financial assistance to the Wyryki commune for its “own task in the field of social assistance”.

“The targeted subsidy will be allocated to a family from the town of Wyryki-Wola, which was left homeless. According to preliminary findings, an unidentified flying object hit the roof of the building, which caused serious damage to the building's structure,” it was written in the justification.

The Ministry of National Defense informed that the family house would be rebuilt from scratch at state expense. The money will be transferred via the voivodeship office to the commune's account, which will pay it to the couple.

Mayor Wyryk Bernard Błaszczuk told PAP that a retired couple lives in a flat above the library provided by the commune.

“PLN 70,000 from the voivodeship budget will be allocated for cost estimate documentation, which will allow us to determine exactly how much money we should apply for for the reconstruction of the house.” – said the mayor.

He added that the money will also cover the costs related to alternative housing previously incurred by the commune, including: renovation and purchase of furniture.

Due to disinformation regarding support for the family in Wyryki, Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk informed in September on the X platform that the mayor had provided the family with a flat and the family house would be rebuilt from scratch at the state's expense. Additionally, the injured family will receive financial compensation from the Ministry of National Defense.

Tomczyk emphasized that a few days after the incident, representatives of the Ministry of National Defense and the District Infrastructure Board in Lublin met with the family.

“The family has direct contact with Ministry of National Defense officials – private telephone numbers available 24 hours a day. Conversations have already taken place several times,” Tomczyk wrote. (PAP)
