In Krasnoyarsk, 10 enterprises will be punished for air pollution during the NMU period

In Krasnoyarsk, during 5 days of unfavorable weather conditions, 10 violating enterprises were identified.

Inspectors from the Ministry of Ecology, together with the Krasnoyarsk Environmental Prosecutor's Office, inspected more than 20 objects of negative impact.

First of all, they visited the areas where the largest number of complaints from residents came from. There are enterprises producing metal products, building materials, ceramic tiles, retreading truck tires and other industries.

Violations were found in 10 companies – they do not have gas purification installations, plans to reduce emissions during the NMU period, as well as industrial environmental control programs.

“During the period of unfavorable weather conditions, we paid close attention to organizations that use autonomous heat supply sources. From September 1, there is a ban on certain types of fuel, including brown and hard coal. During the inspections, violations were recorded, the materials were transferred to the prosecutor's office to bring the perpetrators to justice – they face fines of up to 500 thousand rubles. Additionally, we will file claims in court for the dismantling of such sources. Once again we urge entrepreneurs to switch to environmentally friendly types of heating,” noted First Deputy Minister of Ecology Yulia Gumenyuk.

During the NMU period, the mobile environmental laboratory of the regional monitoring center carried out 25 samples of atmospheric air, including in the areas about which residents most often complained. The samples were sent to the laboratory. In case of excess emissions of pollutants, information will be sent to the Yenisei Department of Rosprirodnadzor.
