The police detained two women accused of defrauding an aesthetic clinic of over 21,400 lei

Two women, 34 and 36 years old, were detained by the Bucharest police after allegedly performing aesthetic procedures for over 21,400 lei without paying, being investigated for breach of trust by defrauding creditors.

“On October 22, 2025, police officers from the General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest – Police Section 20 implemented two arrest warrants, in the municipality of Bucharest, issued in the name of two women, aged 34 and 36 respectively, in a criminal case in which investigations are being carried out under the aspect of committing the crime of breach of trust by defrauding creditors”the Capital Police sent in a statement.
According to the cited source, on October 17, 2025, the 20th Police Department was notified by the representative of a medical clinic, with a work point in Sector 6, regarding the fact that two people had purchased several aesthetic procedures, and had not paid their price, the damage caused being more than 21,400 lei.
Following the research and investigations carried out by the police, it was determined that the deed was committed by two women, aged 34 and 36, respectively.
“The administered probation revealed the fact that, on October 17, 2025, the two women would have purchased minimally invasive facial interventions, in the respective medical clinic, knowing that they would not be able to pay the related costs”the authorities stated.
The research showed that the 34-year-old woman would have benefited from medical procedures worth approximately 14,100 lei, and the 36-year-old woman from interventions worth 7,300 lei.
Thus, on October 22, 2025, two arrest warrants issued in the name of the two women were implemented, they were detected and taken to hearings.
Based on the evidence administered in the case, the two women were detained for 24 hours, to be presented to the magistrates with legal proposals.
The investigations are being continued by the 20th Police Department, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the 6th District Court, under the aspect of committing the crime of breach of trust by defrauding creditors.
“We make it clear that the initiation of the criminal action is a procedure of the criminal process regulated by the Code of Criminal Procedure, with the aim of creating the procedural framework for the administration of evidence, an activity that cannot, under any circumstances, defeat the principle of the presumption of innocence”the statement also states.
