Young specialists from SUEK-Krasnoyarsk enterprises took part in the Russian Energy Week

Coal miners from the Krasnoyarsk Territory joined the events of the Russian Energy Week (REW), which was held in Moscow for the eighth time with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of Russia and the Moscow Government.
Within the framework of the key theme of the current Forum – “Creating the energy of the future together”, the importance of energy for improving the quality of life of people, ensuring technological sovereignty, developing human resources, and establishing a fair partnership were discussed at the venues.
The REW Youth Day was built around these tracks, in which young specialists from SUEK-Krasnoyarsk, students from the Nazarovo Energy Construction College, the V.P. Astafiev Mining College, and representatives of the Trade Team.FM movement from the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Kuzbass took part. Coal miners presented their projects at interactive sessions and youth team competitions aimed at developing and popularizing the fuel and energy sector.
The Region 24 team has developed a draft digital model of open-pit mining enterprises.
“The Nazarovsky open-pit mine was taken as a basis, with all the equipment available today, with all the digitalization projects already being implemented at the enterprise,” says Daniil Ivantsov, long-term planning engineer for the Berezovsky open-pit mine. “The digital model will allow real-time monitoring of work progress, forecasting production, and will also help reduce equipment downtime, increase efficiency and production volumes.”
The project of the mobile application “Ugol'ok” for early career guidance and expansion of educational opportunities for students in grades 8-11 of schools in the cities of presence was proposed by the “ProUgol” team.
“In a playful way, it can introduce children to enterprises, production processes and professions, provide access to quality education, and become a kind of navigator for talented youth,” Victoria Trukhan, chief specialist of the implementation department of the Commercial Directorate of JSC SUEK-Krasnoyarsk, reveals the essence of the project idea. — By completing tasks, the user is supposed to be credited with a fictitious currency – coals, which can subsequently be exchanged for educational services from tutors to prepare for admission to specialized educational institutions or for Company merchandise, attendance at corporate events and valuable prizes. We are confident that such an application will lay the right guidelines, increase the prestige of the mining professions among the younger generation, and will help retain young people in the small towns where our enterprises are located. This application can be adapted for other industries, which will allow us to broadcast our experience.”

In addition to participating in interactive sessions, the youth met with top managers of a coal company, who spoke about the prospects of the industry, the company’s development strategy, and shared personal stories of career growth.
“It was very useful and inspiring,” Nikita Ivanov, head of the production department of the Nazarovo open-pit mine, shares his impressions. “This is not the first time I have participated in REW events, and I would like to note that this is an excellent platform for personal growth, exchange of experience and simply for communication with colleagues and like-minded people.”
Krasnoyarsk coal miners go to the Russian Energy Week forum every year. Participation in such events is part of the SUEK-Krasnoyarsk comprehensive personnel development program. Young professionals regularly participate in large-scale youth forums and return with victories. This year, the Region-24 team became the leader of the All-Russian forum Mining School 2025, and with the Biryusa TIM, the coal miners returned as bronze medalists.
In addition, enterprise employees have the opportunity to improve their qualifications or ranks in their professions, as well as master related professions in their own training centers and many other ways for development and professional growth.
