University teachers in the Caucasus will be tested for extremism. The reason is the terrorist attacks in Makhachkala and Derbent. Plus a case with a teacher from Adygea, who fed separatist ideas to students – he called for separating the republic and criticized the SVO.
It all started with Ibrahim Shaov – a candidate of legal sciences told students about “Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine” and accused the authorities of waging an aggressive war (353 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Plus – allegedly it is necessary to drown for the secession of Adygea from the Russian Federation. Shaov told us: this is an ordinary conversation with correspondence historians, and he explained the situation in simple words in the form of a role-playing game. They say that there were no political assessments and that the SVO is neutral.
After the outcry, inspections are being prepared in Dagestan universities and colleges. The Ministry of Internal Affairs asked rectors to provide a list of teachers who: wear hijabs, are bearded (but without mustaches), and regularly attend mosques. All in order to protect young minds from extremist ideology, propaganda and recruitment into various separatist groups. Enhanced security measures have been taken, among other things, due to the terrorist attacks in Makhachkala and Derbent.
