The III International Documentary Film Festival SiberiaDOC will be held in Krasnoyarsk from November 28 to December 7, 2025.
The main venue will be the Krasnoyarsk Cinema House. This year, the festival program will feature 37 films, of which 30 films will be included in the competition categories:
- International Feature Film Program (60–180 minutes);
- International Short and Medium Film Program (10–60 minutes);
- Russian program (10–180 minutes).
Each will include 10 films. In addition, viewers will enjoy a parallel program and special screenings.
The professional part will consist of a discussion panel, a round table and five master classes. Traditionally, there will be meetings with the authors and discussions after the screenings. For spectators and guests of the festival, this is a unique opportunity to communicate live with directors and filmmakers.
“This year we received 514 applications for the festival’s competitive program from 55 countries: from France to Mexico, from India to the Czech Republic and, of course, from Russia. The selection committee is currently busy carefully reviewing and selecting the best films. We will publish the selection results – the award shortlist – on the festival website no later than November 10. But we can already say that these will be mainly premiere screenings in Russia and the Siberian Federal District. But choosing the winner in each category will fall on the shoulders of our jury during the festival,” said Kristina Daurova, program director of the SiberiaDOC IFF.
The SiberiaDOC IFF annually invites documentarians from all over the world to submit their works to the competition. This year, films made no earlier than January 1, 2024 were accepted.
The mission of the project is to discover modern documentaries that can inspire and change lives for the better. The festival focuses on the creative documentary genre, which develops the language of cinema through expressive visual images and deep dramatic stories. Priority is given to works where the authors establish a unique emotional connection with the characters.
A special feature of this year will be the journey of Russian films across Siberia. After the completion of the main festival in Krasnoyarsk “ECHO”, events will be held in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as in the Kemerovo, Irkutsk and Novosibirsk regions.
The project is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
