Fcsb, CFR Cluj, Craiova University and U Cluj have given up U21 holders in European cups. The balance of this week: two white draws and two defeats with teams from North Macedonia and Bosnia.

It was the first week in which all 4 Romanian teams involved in European cups played in UEFA competitions.

Interestingly, none used in the first “11” at least one footballer born after January 1, 2004, which is eligible for the U21 rule, as they are obliged in the championship. Sign that the top teams of the superliges believe that their young players are not enough for the type-type formations and evolve with them in L1 of the obligation.

FCSB appeals to the right defender Ionuț Cercel only in the championship, in Europe it relies on the veteran Vali Crețu. At the CFR of the Europa League there is no extreme sfiț, as is the case in the internal competition.

Mihnea Rădulescu, a holder in the first two stages, did not evolve in Craiova. In fact, the Oltenians consumed almost two million euros this summer only the U21 – Băsceanu, Rădulescu, Fălcușan, David Matei – to be reserved or outside the Bosnia match.

Finally, Sabău changed the goalkeeper to Armenia, not more selected on Stefan Lefter, 20 years old, but Edvinas Gertmonas (29).

FCSB, CFR Cluj, Craiova University and U Cluj have given up the U21 player in Europe. No victory!

Shkendija – FCSB 1-0 (Champions League, Preliminary Second Tour, First Cancer)

  • Târnovanu – V. Crețu, Ngezana, M. Popescu, Radunovic – Chiricheș, Şut – Miculescu, Olaru, Cisotti – Fl. Tănase

Lugano – CFR Cluj 0-0 (Europa League, second preliminary round, first leg)

  • Hindrich – Bosec, Sinyan, M. Ilie, Camora – Muhar, Djokovic, Fică – Nkololo, L. Munteanu, Korenica

Ararat-Armenia-U Cluj 0-0 (Conference League, second preliminary tour, first leg)

  • Gertmonas – Chipciu, Codrea, I. Cristea, Miguel Silva – Simion, Artean, Bic – Nistor – Macalou, Thiam

The scenario was repeated and last weeks, when only FCSB and CFR Cluj participated in Europe. In their “doubles” with Inter Club d'Acaldes, respectively Paksi, no U21 footballer took place in the first “11”.

Mihai Stoica screamed that new generations are weak

The chairman of the FCSB Board of Directors complained that he had no one to check the U21 rule.

“We have an almost zero generation in 2004, in 2006 a zero, zero, zero generation! In 2005 there are more interesting players. It is a disaster!”declares MM Stoica at the first sport 1.

With the juniors in the field

Although 2004 footballers should have priority now, theoretical U21 players with the highest experience, Liga 1 bands have preferred to use smaller players. Here a GSP analysis after the first round.
