Deputies proposed shifting the start of the working day in the North due to darkness

Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Vladislav Davankov proposed giving the northern regions the right to shift the start of the working day in winter due to short daylight hours.
“In the North, it would be possible to shift the start of the working day by an hour, if only just to see daylight. Very often you go to work, and the children go to school: they went out into the night, returned into the night,” the parliamentarian explained.
He also noted that this practice is successfully used in other countries, for example in China, writes Sever-Press. The deputy emphasized that each region must independently make such a decision, taking into account local characteristics.
The initiative is planned to be submitted for consideration in the near future.
