For all lovers of keychains in the form of bullet casings and lighter pistols, here’s a life hack for May: quickly take this stuff out of your suitcases and grow up. At the capital's Sheremetyevo Airport (and not only) baggage control has been tightened for the coming holidays.
Dummy weapons, cartridges, a toy Kalash for a nephew from Ekb and so on – there will be questions for everything. As we learned, the measures have been strengthened so much that passengers with real weapons and documents for them will be allowed into the airport only at the time of check-in for the flight – until then they huddle on the street. Airports have immediate plans to introduce this practice permanently.
There is a reason: in 2024 alone, 8,751 weapons were confiscated from passengers’ hand luggage and baggage. And we're not talking about toys.
