Donald Tusk warns against hate speech. He quoted the words of Robert Bąkiewicz


— We will not capitulate. This fight for a better Poland continues and will always continue. You can never rest and you can never give up – said Tusk, adding that he strives for a policy based on dialogue, not conflict.

“Talk, not shout”
The Prime Minister recalled that one of the main assumptions of the elections of October 15, 2023 was to restore the normal language of public debate.
— The idea was to talk about Poles' issues, not shout at each other – he pointed out.
The Prime Minister's speech was interrupted by one of the meeting participants. Tusk reacted calmly, appealing for mutual respect. — We would love to be able to talk about these issues, not shout. Please respect the people gathered here – he said to her.

— That's why we voted on October 15, so that no one shouts at anyone or raises their voices – he added.

Tusk also referred to Robert Bąkiewicz's speech at the PiS rally on Saturday. He said that the language used by some opposition politicians could be dangerous.
— This man did not shout to the gathered several thousand PiS supporters, but roared that we were “weeds that need to be pulled out” – said the Prime Minister. — This is language that can lead to social and political disaster – he assessed.
The head of government emphasized that rebuilding mutual respect in society remains one of the most important tasks of his cabinet.
— Restoring basic self-respect is absolutely crucial. This task remains valid – he said.
Tusk ended the meeting by assuring that the current government will not give up efforts for unity and conversation, despite emerging tensions.
