Farmers in the Krasnoyarsk Territory can receive a development grant

The regional grant competition “Our Farmer” has started in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The winners of the selection can expect to receive up to 8 million rubles. Documents can be submitted until November 9.

The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reminded that individual entrepreneurs who registered a rural farm a year before participating in the selection or in the year of the competition can participate in the competition. Beginning farmers, those who are just planning to engage in agricultural production, can also count on support. Within 30 days after successfully passing the selection, they must open an individual entrepreneur. A necessary condition is that you need to invest at least 10% of your own money into the project, the remaining costs will be reimbursed by the regional budget.

“The commission will evaluate whether the participant in the selection has secondary vocational or higher education in enlarged groups of professions, specialties and areas of training “Agriculture and Agricultural Sciences”, or additional professional education in programs whose subject is agricultural sciences, including within the framework of the “Farmer School” project. Experience in running or jointly implementing a personal subsidiary plot of at least 1 year will also be assessed, land plot for farming, quality of project protection, understanding of the main factors of its successful implementation. Participants in a special military operation can earn additional points in the competition. In addition, they have the right to invest a grant in the acquisition of land plots from agricultural lands,” the press service explained.

Grant funds can be spent on the construction of production and warehouse buildings, premises for storing and processing agricultural products, developing design estimates for these purposes, connecting facilities to utility networks, purchasing farm animals (cattle and small livestock), poultry, machinery and equipment, vegetable and potato seeds, mineral fertilizers and plant protection products. One year is given to use the grant.

Successful applicants must create permanent jobs – at least one with support of up to 5 million rubles and at least two if the grant is 5 million rubles or more. In addition, during the project implementation period, which is seven years, show an increase in the volume of agricultural production, revenue, and work in the chosen direction.

“This year at least 15 applicants will be selected. 120 million rubles are allocated for the program. This is an initiative measure to support the development of small businesses; it has been implemented in the region for the third year in a row,” said the region’s Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Voropaev.
