Liverpool changed his position on the future of the striker Federico Chiesa at the club. Previously, the “cormorants” were ready to leave him the 27-year-old Italian to go to another club in January, to receive more time. But, at present, Liverpool intends to keep the Chiesa, because it has become an important part of the team.

Although he had a good season start, Arne Slot decided to leave Federico Chiesa outside the UEFA list for the Champions League, but the Italian took his place, Giovanni Leoni (18 years old), who was seriously injured at his debut for Liverpool and will be unavailable to the whole season.

Although he was preparing to leave in January at least in the form of a loan, Liverpool's management decided that Federico Chiesa would stay at the club.

Chiesa was decisive in the first stage of the Premier League, when it was introduced on the ground in the 82nd minute, instead of Florian Wirtz, when the score looked 2-2 in the match with Bournemouth. The Italian scored 6 minutes later, and in the 90+4 Salah minute closed the score at 4-2.

Later, Chiesa took a few minutes in the matches with Newcastle, Arsenal and Burnley, and at the derby with Everton was not included in the lot.

The Italian was then integralist in the victory with Southampton, score 2-1, managing to step decisively in both goals successful by Liverpool, signed by Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak.

In the penultimate stage of the Premier League, the Chiesa replaced again on Wirtz, in the 74th minute, and managed to equalize at 1 in the 87th minute, but the “vultures” managed to produce the surprise and win with the score of 2-1, thanks to the goal scored by Eddie Nketiah in the 90+7 minute.

Chiesa arrived in Liverpool in the summer of 2024, after the “cormorants” brought him from Juventus in exchange for the sum of 15 million pounds.
