Unpleasant experience with a parcel from England
In addition to discussions about tourism, Oana Roman also told an unpleasant event related to an order from abroad. The star wanted to buy a pair of sneakers that were not in Romania and was helped by a friend from England. The parcel was sent through DHL, but the surprise came to delivery.
“First of all, I tell you not to order anything from England to come to Romania through DHL, because you will pay the products twice”, Warned Oana Roman.
She explained that, although the product costs 114 pounds and the transport of 50 pounds, the courier company has set a declared value of 150 pounds and applied VAT and additional customs duties. “I paid 50 transport pounds, given that the sneakers cost 114 pounds, and after doing the documents, the DHL asked me for customs duties, VAT and transport, once again, worth 100 euros. Basically, they decided that the declared value of the product is 150 pounds, although I sent them the invoice that looked black on white the price of the 114 pounds ”the star said, quoted by Click!
Oana Roman calculated that, in total, she paid almost double compared to the value of the product: “For a pair of sneakers that cost 114 pounds, I paid 50 pounds and they asked me 500 lei VAT and customs duties. Basically, I paid for it double and something. A beating!”.
The star recommended the followers to be careful when ordering products from abroad, to avoid such unpleasant situations.
