Video heavy equipment, tanks and armed bands brought to Romania. “It is the largest rail transport operation in Europe in the last 30-40 years”

No less than 11 trains and 14 other military convoys have arrived in Romania in France and from several other NATO member states for the largest military exercise this year.

The French army has built in Romania a temporary logistics base, meant to support the conduct of troops and equipment participating in the military exercise Dacian Fall 25, in which approximately 5,000 soldiers will be involved and will be carried out in the training polygons in Cincu, Smârdan, Capu Midia, Babadag, Alba, Iulia Cârşoara, says Euronews.

In total, 11 military trains were sent from France to Romania, each with up to 600 meters long and carrying 40-50 vehicles, including heavy fighter tanks Leclerc.

“Trains have traveled between four and five days to cross Europe. It is the largest rail transport operation in Europe in the last 30-40 years, maybe even more,” said Deputy Chief Olivier, the head of the railway operations in the French army.

In addition to the railway transport, another 14 military convoys came to Romania by road. At the same time, some French military with military technique were brought by plane. In total, 2,400 French soldiers will arrive in Romania.

“The objective is to carry out a complete French brigade in less than a month. During this time, we must have all the logistics, infantry and artillery capabilities necessary for the exercise,” said Col. Aymeric de Farcy de Pontfarcy, the commander of the logistical transport battalion, according to Euronews.

What heavy weapons will participate in the Dacian Fall exercise

In addition to Leclerc tanks, the French also brought tanks and other armored vehicles and self -propelled howitzers. The Italians are present with “light tanks”, on wheels, Centauro II, Romania will participate with Armored Piranha 5 fighting conveyors, and Poland with Rosomak fighting conveyors.

5,000 soldiers involved in Dacian Fall 2025

Spain. The training sequences will take place on the territory of Romania and Bulgaria.

MAPN said that our country participates with the 282 armored brigade “Union of the Principalities” and units subordinated to the Southeast Brigade multinational command, along with units in the ground, air, naval and Cyber ​​forces.

The exercise is planned by the Southeast Division Multinational Command (HQ MND-SU) in Bucharest, it has as main objective the operational integration of subordinated and affiliated structures HQ MND-SU and marks the final brigade raising stage in Romania and Bulgaria.
