the LisaAlert detachment is completing the active phase of the massive search for the Usoltsev family / Incidents of Krasnoyarsk and the Krasnoyarsk Territory / Newslab.Ru

The active phase of the mass search for the Usoltsev family, who disappeared during a camping trip, as well as the work of the operational headquarters search and rescue team “LisaAlert” ends on the evening of October 12. At the same time, how stated in the detachment, the search itself does not stop, but goes into the mode of targeted tasks: now they will be dealt with by professionals and certified rescuers, performing the tasks of the coordinator.

“We sincerely thank all the caring people who helped during these days: those who went out searching, provided the team, disseminated information, supported in word and deed. Your participation is priceless. Every search is a deep experience. Leaving a search without finding the missing is always difficult, as if leaving a part of yourself where hope still lives. But we are close. We are looking. And we will search until we find it,” they wrote in the telegram channel search and rescue team “LisaAlert”.

The detachment also told us what the search for the Usoltsev family will now look like:

“A permanent headquarters on site and a coordinator in charge of all processes, there won't be any more. Instead, formed search teams consisting of certified specialists will receive clear, specific tasks from a remote coordinator. They will arrive on site, go to their designated square and carry out the task, acting independently, without direct control on the ground. This is a highly specialized job that requires searchers to have a lot of experience and the ability to work autonomously. Please note: the headquarters is being closed, which means that in the village of Kuturchin we We will no longer be able to accept equipment and consumables

At the same time, the Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia stated that they were continuing to investigate the criminal case initiated into the disappearance of the family.

The search for the family is currently focused on the rugged terrain in the designated square where the missing man's phone signal was detected. The search involves the most experienced climbers and speleologists, who examine stone deposits and caves. Searches in that area are complicated by heavy snow cover, low air temperatures, and significant and varied terrain irregularities, which make it difficult for searchers to move and navigate.

Only people with special training in mountaineering and mountain tourism with the necessary equipment and the skills to spend the night in the mountains are allowed to search.

Let us remind you that On September 27, a 64-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, together with their 5-year-old daughter, arrived by car from Zheleznogorsk to the village of Kuturchin to go hiking as part of a tourist group in the direction of the Kuturchinsky Belogorye. Due to an unfavorable weather forecast, the group did not gather, but on September 28 at noon the family set out on their own, informing the base employee of their route – to Mount Buratinka and back. Walking with a child takes 3-3.5 hours. It has been reliably established that on September 28, female tourists were seen approaching the mountain of the missing. On September 29, a colleague wrote to the woman’s adult son and reported that she did not show up for work and that the family was going on vacation to the Partizansky district. On September 30, the young man filed a complaint with law enforcement agencies. A criminal case was opened into the unknown disappearance of the family.
