In the next two years, new procurement and processing centers and a modern trade and logistics center will be built in the Arctic regions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The corresponding order was signed by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
The Agency for the Development of Northern Territories and Support of Indigenous Minorities of the Region reported that the construction of the first procurement and processing points will begin in 2026. There they will receive and process deer meat and other traditional products and monitor their quality.
In 2027, construction of the first trade and logistics center will begin in the area of the village of Khatanga. It will become the core of supplying northern villages with socially significant goods, a platform for the purchase, storage and sale of local products.

“Trade and logistics centers and procurement points are practical solutions for the Arctic. They simplify the supply of remote villages, create jobs and help local residents earn money from traditional farming. Such projects make the northern economy more sustainable, and people’s lives more stable and predictable,” said Anton Narchuganov, head of the agency for the development of northern territories and support of indigenous peoples of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Let us remind you that earlier it became known that Russian President Vladimir Putin will approve a large-scale update of the development strategy for the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The document, adopted in 2020, has been significantly improved and extended until 2050.
