An eyewitness, who interviewed STT, said that he saw a drone over the presidential palace and neighboring buildings in the capital of Finland. He reported this in emergency services.
According to the witness, he saw two men who launched drones on the Square nearby. They said they were tourists from Hong Kong.
The Presidential Palace and the square, from where the men launched the BPL, are in the base zone, where it is forbidden to use drones.
The Helsinki police reported that they knew about the incident, but decided to close the case, because “it was confirmed that the drone is no longer in the limited access zone.”
They said there that law enforcement officers weekly receive reports about UAV flights that tourists usually launch.

In different EU countries, “unknown drones” began to notice more and more often. In particular, they were identified in Poland, Norway, Germany, Romania, Finland and Lithuania. On September 25, the airport in Denmark was temporarily closed for the third time in a week due to such incidents.
On September 26, the head of the Ukrainian state Vladimir Zelensky noted that Russian tankers can serve as venues for launching and managing drones in Europe. He later added that the Baltic and other seas should be closed for Russian tankers.
