One of the victims of the road accident on Saturday, around 2:30 pm, on the county road DJ 792A, near the town of Ierrsig, is Dr. Ana Guț, known to the public scandal at the Bihor County House. According to the sources of Bihorean, the woman, at the wheel of a Dacian Logan, moved with her brother when she lost control of the car, entered the opposite direction and crashed violently by a tree.

Following the impact, both people died. The paramedics tried to resuscitate the 63-year-old man, but the maneuvers proved useless. The police officers of the Bihor Road Service continue the investigations to determine exactly the causes of the accident.

According to unofficial information, there would have been significant amounts of money in the car, but the authorities did not officially confirm this hypothesis.

Ana Guț had escaped punishment by prescribing facts

Doctor Ana Guț became known in 2015, with the outbreak of the scandal regarding the bribe received by doctors of the Bihor Pension House. During the investigation, DNA prosecutors documented a large corruption system, based on video recordings for several weeks, showing how medical staff received money from patients to facilitate the retirement files.

According to the DNA indictment, in only 25 days of monitored activity, between May 11 and June 15, 2015, Ana Guț received bribes 334 times, directly or through intermediaries, from patients who were present at her office. In total, the amounts collected reached 51,970 lei and 3,330 euros.

The investigators discovered, following the searches, large quantities of cash in different locations: in the cabinet, in the apartment and even in the personal car. Only in the car, the police found over 205,000 lei and 19,000 euros, and in his mother's house, a pensioner, 772,200 lei, $ 120,000 and 4,820 euros were identified.

After years of trials, in August 2024, the Bihor Court decided to cease the criminal action against Dr. Ana Guț, invoking the prescription of the facts. However, the court ordered the confiscation of the amounts received as a bribe during the period monitored by the prosecutors.
