For the first time since 2022, Mykolaiv received a centralized supply of fresh water, — reported Oleksiy Kuleba.
After the Russians blew up the water main, more than half a million residents of the city were left without a stable water supply.
According to him, in one year it was possible to implement an extremely complex infrastructure project – a new water main was built, which returned access to fresh water to Mykolaiv.
▪️ a new pipeline of 136 km (two strands of 67.9 km each);
▪️ ready-made pumping stations;
▪️ the system is tested and put into operation;
▪️ equipment is protected — cable lines underground, shelters for personnel, backup generators.

Thanks to the expertise of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure, the cost of construction was reduced by more than UAH 2.5 billion — to UAH 6.3 billion, which is 25% less than the initial estimate.
The saved funds have already been directed to new water supply facilities – in the communities of Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava and Vinnytsia regions. Their implementation will provide water to more than 180,000 people.
