The authorities of the Republic of Moldova take into account, in the context of the parliamentary elections on Sunday, the scenarios that include street violence, vandalism, electric current interruption, false bomb alarms or cyber attacks. “The sole purpose of all institutions is not to admit that the theft of votes and Russian destabilization actions will become an electoral blow,” the Government of Chisinau said.
The Government of the Republic of Moldova sent to Romania journalists that for Sunday, September 28, when parliamentary elections take place, the authorities have prepared for several scenarios:
Electricity interruptions
The Chisinau government says that the authorities have prepared that the polling process will be continued in this scenario. “On the day of the vote, such incidents are announced by the CEC (central electoral commission – no) (…).
Fake alarms with bomb
“The tactics already used in the past will be managed promptly by the security institutions, so that the poll is normal. These alerts are communicated by the police.”
Cyber attacks on borders, airport, payments, digital signature and communications
“In 2025, more than 1,000 cyber attacks were identified on the critical infrastructure; the authorities counteract them daily. CEC, in turn, guarantees that the vote is protected by written minutes and validated by the Constitutional Court.”
Data leaks and Information Manipulation attempts
“The Russian services are trying to compromise the governmental cyber system; the authorities permanently monitor and communicate transparently to avoid panic. If necessary, we will use the first source channel on the day of the vote.”
Street violence organized by people trained in Gru Serbia
“It is a risk in decrease, because SIS, IGP and PCCOCS have retained over 70 people between the ages of 19 and 40, trained to use firearms and break police cords.
As a result of the searches, weapons, sticks, grenades, tents, camouflage clothes and tens of thousands of euros were discovered. MAI mobilized the subordinate institutions for the good deployment of the election ”.
Vandalism or destabilization actions from groups related to Transnistrian region
“Russia is trying to recruit resources of the so-called MGB.
The law enforcement are mobilized, last -minute adjustments have been made to the addresses of the polling stations and the observers and voters are asked to report any attempt to violate the law immediately. The police will have a press conference on the day of the vote, where it will talk about the registered incidents.
Speaking of the degree of preparation of the state, the sole purpose of all institutions is not to admit that the theft of votes and Russian destabilization actions become an “electoral blow”.
Moldova on Sunday organizes parliamentary elections with a large stake, which could determine the fate of its candidacy for the European Union, on the background of what officials have described as a subversive campaign to influence the vote and sabotage the prooccidental orientation, wrote Reuters.
“If in the past the diaspora voted in a proportion of 75 – 80% step by step, now I am not sure that the percentage will be as high.” What does the director of a Moldovan poll institute say about Sunday vote
