President Nicușor Dan told Digi24 on Thursday that “at this moment we are somewhere in 30% of describing what happened in November 2024” and that he still has “some elements that have not yet been made public”, but also “an intuition of the overall image”.

Asked if he has the certainty about Călin Georgescu that he was the man of the Russians in last year's presidential elections, Nicușor Dan answered affirmatively: “Yes”.

The president said that the secret services in Romania had information about Călin Georgescu, “but the technological way used was so surprising for a very short period of time, two weeks, that they did not have the ability to intervene during this short interval.”

“It was a surprise not only for our information services that happened. The partner services do not deal with Romania, but they have an eye in the global world, so it was a surprise for everyone in which it has operated over a very short period of time,” added the head of state.

The indictment of the General Prosecutor's Office, “very consistent”

The president believes that the General Prosecutor's Office has drafted a “very consistent” indictment, which, “finally, gives clear evidence on the side of influence, of electronic handling in the November 2024 elections.”

“There are three things that the Prosecutor's Office tells. One is this system of systematic misinformation, in which the parquet proves that they have been paid by Russia. The second is the effective financing part, where we have for the moment a million euros, it is five to six months ago, Bogdan Peșchir, and the third (…), the attempt to destabilize it. Previously, he tried the same in African countries, ”added President Nicușor Dan.

Asked if he will request the desecretion of the information from the meeting that the Supreme Council of the Country had on December 6, Nicușor Dan explained: “At the right time, but it is not the essential element. The essential element is to describe-and at this moment we are somewhere in 30% of describing what happened in November 2024”.

“I still have some elements that have not yet been made public, but I have an intuition of the overall image,” said the head of state.
