The incidents took place on the weekend, in Moscow and the south of the Russian Federation, according to the independent Russian press.
In the city of Tatarsk in the Novosibirsk region, the school building no. 5, informs the Russian service of RFE/RL. The incident took place on Sunday, September 21, during the day. No victims were reported.
The moment of collapse was surprised by the passers -by. The eyewitnesses noted that everything happened on a free day and that there were no children in school.
“Everything collapsed completely, it was a catastrophe, well that there were no children inside,” said an eyewitness NGS. According to the locals, the school building “has not been repaired for a hundred years” and “has been demolished for a long time”.
Another incident took place on Saturday in Moscow, soldier with victims. The building of a school that was already prepared for repairs collapsed. The concrete plates of the ceiling collapsed from the fourth floor to the first floor, crushing the workers who were at that time inside the educational unit.
Two people died. According to the Moscow Prosecutor's Office, the victims are “workers of a subcontracting commercial organization”.
A criminal case for negligence that led to human victims was opened.
