The Kremlin leader is convinced that he will not suffer any consequence from the Trump administration for military climbing and that the US president will probably not do much to strengthen the defense of Ukraine.

Moreover, Kremlin sources have revealed that Putin is with his eyes on the conflict in the Gaza strip that he considers harder than the one taken against Ukraine and is encouraged by the US and the EU reaction the actions of Israel.

The Russian forces have already intensified the attacks on military and civilian targets in Ukraine since the two leaders met at Anchorage last month, and Ukrainian president Volodimir Zelenski has rejected Putin's request to give up more territory in eastern Ukraine.

Putin resort to nuclear blackmail and psychological pressure

Putin also followed the war of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Gaza, two people close to the Kremlin.

He considers the war taken by Netanyahu to Gaza as tougher than Russia's war in Ukraine and notes that it was largely accepted by US and Europe, undermining their criticisms of Moscow.

The Russian president will remain involved in any dialogue in progress with the US, but he will continue to do what he thinks is in his interest, the same sources said.

“Putin seeks to get some visible victories until winter, but so far fails on the battlefield. That's why it resorts to nuclear blackmail and psychological pressure, including mass bombings,” said Nikolai Petrov, the main researcher at the Center for New Eurasian strategies.
