The President of the USR, Dominc Fritz, said on Saturday, in Timisoara, that if the law on the pensions of the magistrates will be declared unconstitutional, “it is very difficult to continue if there is such a great doubt about the constitutional basis that this Government makes decisions.”

“I believe that the judges at the Constitutional Court have arrived there in a nomination process, including recently, where, in an open vote-it is not a secret-PSD has nominated a candidate, UDMR has nominated a candidate and we have even voted these candidates. Constitutional that this government makes decisions ”, replied Dominic Fritz, asked if the government should leave if the Magistrate Pensions Law is declared unconstitutional.

On September 8, the president of the UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, said that if the reform of the occupational pensions does not resist the Constitutional Court, then the legitimacy of this government disappears.

He said that the executive took into account all aspects of the past related to the system reform.

The Constitutional Court will debate, on Wednesday, September 24, the law on the pensions of the magistrates, along with the other laws in the second package of measures to reduce the deficit adopted by the Government.
