How bad does Russia do Romania and how much we make ourselves because of our own vulnerabilities. The uncomfortable disclosure of a security expert

Security expert Hari Bucur Marcu criticizes the superficiality with which many rushed to embrace the idea, intensely promoted from a high level, that only Russia would be guilty of canceling the 2024 elections. Without challenging Moscow's malignant actions, the expert points out that we do more harm.

“Russia forced us to cancel the election”is the approach that tries to discriminate the Romanian politician and the authorities and to pay attention to a real problem, finding exclusively the culprits from the outside, but without talking about the real vulnerabilities of Romania, says the security expert Hari Bucur Marcu.

What puts the expert questioning is not the fact that Russia carries out subversive actions in Romania, but advocates for the need for clear, concrete evidence to show with the subject and preached who the Moscow agents are. Among other things, the authorities failed to answer exactly a few common sense questions – how exactly the Russians acted, what amounts they entered the country, how and where the Russians' money came from and what happened.

“Most of those who have completely necriticly acquired the urban legend as” state and non -state actors “(read the Russian Federation) would be irretrievably compromised the entire presidential electoral process, from November to December 2024 are so illiterate in this matter that they cannot do the same phenomenon and the same phenomenon. Electoral, this time in favor or for the benefit of Putin's Russians, without Moscow in investing resources, planning and implicit effort, to obtain that result ”says the expert, in a Facebook post.

How Russia acts

Russia acts differently, from case to case, but in this situation the authorities are silent their own vulnerabilities.

“In the first case, Russia acts through agents in sight and covered, through ax queues in Romania and through interposed, appeals to federal funds or allocated through confindential channels, to obtain in Romania a result of the desired and anticipated elections.says Hari Bucur Marcu.

In Romania, at least regarding the annulment of the elections, the role of the Russians was rather symbolic, the expert considers.

“In us, in the context of the general presidential and parliamentary elections last year, the information notes of four of the intelligence services, made public by desecretization, referred only to tangentially to a possible Russian Plan for the fraud of the elections, they did not identify funds greater than 2 percent of the total campaign budgets, but they have no possible, who would have acted under the guidance or even under the command of any Moscow agent (not to mention the fact that no Moscow agent was shown with the finger), but only accounted for how many real and fictitious views had some videos broadcast on the Chinese internered social network Tiktok and so on. Telegram did not report the Romanian services”He points out.

Romanian politicians, too little taken into account

The eyes should first be focused on Romanian politicians. In many cases, politicians from all political parties, but especially from the so-called “sovereignists”, do the dirty job of Moscow, without even doing so. Others, on the contrary, are registered.

“On the other hand, as it was said in the Russian public opinion that it would be the level of ambition of the Kremlin, regarding the impact of favorability to Moscow of the Romanian elected officials, 30 percent of the elected officials in the Romanian Parliament have or implicitly declared their sympathies to the Russian Federation, both in the election campaign and after all, that they would not be all of them. Romanian axing queues, made available to the Moscow manators, from whom they receive orders, indications, financing and possibly protection ”, Points Hari Bucur Marcu.

This would be a second plausible variant, he says.

“This only means that we have to deal with the second case described. I mean, we can suspect that most of the Romanian parliamentarians on Moscow are not in the service of any Russian secret service (although some of them are probably waiting to be invited/recurred), but only the segment is crammed. Pseudo-nationalist.he adds.

Sovereigns with the word

Last but not least, Hari Bucur Marcu notes that most of those who are self -titled “sovereigns” do not master the basic notions to understand at least theoretically the basic term for what the sovereignty of a state would mean.

“From direct observation, those who are nostalgic after the good times of Ceausist communism and are also sovereigns who have no idea what that national sovereignty is, as well as resentments to the state democratic system, the western civilization, they do not have to be a feed of the population of over 18 years, but only 10 years, says the expert.

But even this percentage is enormous and betrays the missed generation phenomenon, in the study of constitutional democracy values, considers Hari Bucur Marcu.

“Because it is sufficient for one in ten of the same generation to manifest itself by vote as an antinational, completely disoriented and troubled perhaps that the new state order in Romania does not give it a house and meal without work, without school and effort (even if the meal was poor, and the house was small, ash), as the generation had been in the generation) To live better than the previous generation, through better education and more precious work.concludes Hari Bucur Marcu.

What the official document presented by the Attorney General says

Prosecutor General, Alex Florence, officially announced on Tuesday, September 17, that the results of an official investigation indicate that before the presidential elections, the Romanian state was attacked not only at the digital level, but also in terms of citizens in democratic institutions. The aggressor would be the Russian Federation, which has benefited and still benefits from a certain support from within.

The Attorney General tried to answer an older question, namely how the Russian Federation managed to manipulate the opinion and public and still does, with the help of social networks and cyber means.

“The analyzes have shown that starting with November 27, there has been an intensification of the campaign promotion to the presidential candidate at the level of some groups for dissemination of misinformation narratives, which ensure the connection between the pro -community and other risks for public order, especially extremist and conspiracy groups. of groups of this type and have totaled over 1,300,000 members. to the information space in order to amplify some states of dissatisfaction and then by generating large street actions ”, explained Alex Florence.
