The Rospotrebnadzor warned that the inhabitants of the Krasnoyarsk Territory continue to suffer from ticks.

Over the past 7 days, 30 people complained about the suction of arthropods, including 9 children.

“The total number of victims this season was 14,339, of which 241 fell ill with tick -borne viral encephalitis, Borreliosis – 190, Siberian tick -borne typhoid – 21, Erlichiosis – 2,” explained Rospotrebnadzor.

The day before, the situation with ticks was discussed at a meeting of the regional sanitary and anti-epidemic commission. The Krasnoyarsk Territory was among the leaders in the incidence of encephalitis.

“Vaccination remains the most effective measure. But not all inhabitants of the region are going on, coverage of “vaccinations from the tick” with us only 35.9%. Every year, at the expense of the regional budget, we instill 150 thousand children. Another 30 thousand adults are vaccinated independently. But at risk – elderly citizens. Consider the possibility of including 60+ citizens and disabled people in free vaccination from encephalitis, ”said Sergey Vereshchagin, Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

They also plan to increase the area of ​​acaricidal treatment in the region. It is carried out by municipalities, and private owners, and the region in terms of socially significant spaces. Almost 10 million rubles are allocated annually for these purposes. This is enough for processing from ticks 2.4 thousand hectares of territory. Next year, the area will expand to 3 thousand hectares.
