Florin Prunea Praises Goalkeepers After Rapid’s Victory Over Csikszereda

Former international Florin Prunea praised the performances of Rapid’s goalkeepers, Marian Aioani and Eduard Pap, following their 2-0 victory against Csikszereda.
Aioani stood out with a crucial save during a one-on-one situation against Odor, preventing the Csikszereda player from scoring.
Despite a few notable saves, Pap was ultimately beaten by Grameni’s volley to open the scoring and later by Dobre from the penalty spot.
Prunea on Goalkeepers’ Performances
“Since Valentin Suciu’s arrival, Csikszereda has reached a different level. I find Pap to be a serious goalkeeper with excellent interventions. Ultimately, I believe the two goalkeepers, Marian Aioani and Eduard Pap, were the protagonists of this match,” Prunea remarked.
In the second half, shots from Csikszereda came dangerously close to the goal. Prunea noted that the match was entertaining, with both teams having opportunities to score.
“It could have been 1-1 at one point without any problems. However, Rapid played at maximum intensity, especially after the substitutions made in the second half,” Prunea added, who was part of the ‘Golden Generation’ of Romanian football, as per reports.
“We had our chances, but unfortunately, we lost. I think we could have at least earned a point, which would have been fair. A 0-2 score seems a bit much. We have been showing improvement since Mr. Suciu joined us, starting from the match against Craiova. There are things to fix, and we must have confidence because the season is long. We have home matches until December that we can win, and we are obligated to do everything possible to secure those victories. We created significant opportunities but failed to score, and that cost us,” commented Eduard Pap, Csikszereda’s goalkeeper.
