Update at 17:20 – Dinamo Arrives with Minimal Fanfare

Dinamo’s team bus has just reached the stadium, greeted by a lone fan amidst rainy conditions making the walk from the bus to the locker rooms challenging.

Having reached the semifinals last season, Dinamo aims to clinch the trophy this year. After a strong start with a 4-1 victory over Sporting Liești, they now face Chindia, who currently plays in the second division. Coach Nuno Campos is likely to rotate players and give opportunities to those who have seen less playing time recently, including Ianis Tarbă, who brought renewed hope during a previous match in Cluj.

Chindia, led by Leo Grozavu, hopes to provide a competitive challenge tonight. They have had a strong performance in Liga 2, sitting third in the standings with five consecutive wins after a shaky start to the season and are vying for promotion.

Dinamo and Chindia last faced each other on April 1, 2022, with Dinamo winning 2-0 in that encounter, marking a period when Dinamo was relegated at the end of that season.

This match will also see the return of two former Dinamo players: Iulian Roșu and Cristi Costin, who previously contributed to the team’s successes.

Nuno Campos Prepares for a Tough Match

“We are approaching the match as professionally as possible, striving to reach a good performance level. Chindia is doing exceptional work in Liga 2, and we need to be prepared for difficulties. Our attitude will be crucial for success in this match.”

Leo Grozavu Addresses Chindia’s Busy Schedule

“We have a match every three days, which isn’t ideal for our squad. Even though we have recently acquired four new players, our team isn’t performing at its best. It’s important to introduce players who deserve to be in the lineup to maintain competitive balance across both tournaments.”
