Ukrainian Government Discusses Employee Reservation Policies Ahead of Winter

The Premier of Ukraine stated that a definitive decision regarding employee reservation quotas has yet to be reached. He explained that the option for full reservation allows certain companies to hire thousands of additional employees, and as a result, the government aims to reduce potential abuses of the system.
Koretsky also mentioned contractors from energy companies who provide essential services and have thus gained critical status, allowing them to reserve all their workers. He noted that questions arise concerning personnel who may not be necessary for carrying out these tasks.
However, the Premier assured that there are no plans to alter the percentage of reservations for energy workers as winter approaches. “It’s quite strange that just before the most challenging winter we would change the reservation percentage for energy workers. It seems odd, doesn’t it?” he remarked.
Koretsky expressed optimism that proposals could be refined within the coming week, emphasizing that any changes must consider the needs of the General Staff and the country’s defense capabilities.
