Elite Wines Worth €5 Million Stolen from Renowned Italian Vineyard

Over the weekend, Marchesi Antinori, an esteemed winery in Italy, experienced a theft valued at €5 million, coinciding with plans to ship a substantial batch of its most prized wines to foreign customers.
Seven masked individuals disabled the alarm system and made off with thousands of boxes containing renowned Tuscan red wines such as Tignanello, Solaia, and Tenuta Guado al Tasso, loaded onto two large trucks.
The retail price for each stolen bottle ranges from €150 to €500.
The theft was discovered on Monday when employees arrived at work to find the wine missing. Authorities are currently investigating but have not made any arrests.
Renzo Cotarella, CEO of Marchesi Antinori, has appealed to Italian wine enthusiasts for assistance in locating the stolen bottles. “These wines hold immense value, and I cannot fathom how they could be sold globally without detection,” he stated.
He also warned potential buyers about the risks of purchasing stolen bottles.
