Sybiga emphasized Zelensky’s effective leadership during wartime
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Sybiga has voiced strong support for President Volodymyr Zelensky, highlighting his effective leadership amid the ongoing war for Ukraine’s independence and dignity. Sybiga stated, “He has the support of the Ukrainian people, and they have the right to decide. Statements from abroad only confirm that he is doing a good job. He deserves support.”
These comments come in response to former President Donald Trump’s recent accusations that Zelensky is unwilling to pursue a peace agreement, despite Zelensky’s repeated affirmations of his readiness for peace, provided it does not entail Ukraine’s capitulation. Trump’s criticism followed a conversation he had with Russia’s illegitimate president, Vladimir Putin, regarding the agreement for Russian diesel supplies to the United States and the global market.
The Kremlin has reacted to Trump’s remarks about potentially replacing Zelensky, with Putin’s negotiator, Kirill Dmitriev, calling it “symbolic and historic.”
