Unique Football Match in Ternopil: 50 Children Face 11 Professionals

A unique football match took place in Ternopil, featuring a team of 50 children competing against 11 professional players from FC Niva Ternopil. This event was part of the seventh match organized by the Betking Foundation, founded by Pavlo Zhurylo. The participants included displaced children from frontline regions and those whose parents are defending Ukraine.
Pavlo Zhurylo emphasized the importance of such events, stating, “The war has taken away many familiar things from Ukrainian children, but it has not stolen their right to dream. It is crucial for us to create moments where a child shares the field with professional athletes, showing them that a big dream can be much closer than it seems. For some, this match will remain a bright memory, while for others, it will serve as motivation to train, believe in themselves, and never give up on their dreams.”
Over the past two years, this project has brought together more than 330 children from various cities in Ukraine and has received international recognition, winning gold and silver at the Davos Communications Awards 2026.
