North Korea Conducts Ballistic Missile Test Using AI Technology

This morning, North Korea executed a strategic weapons firing drill aimed at the East Sea, according to Kim Yo Jong, sister of Kim Jong Un.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed that a ballistic missile was launched, covering over 700 kilometers.
Kim Yo Jong asserted that the missile possesses the capability to alter its flight path at low altitudes and incorporates artificial intelligence technology. “In other words, there is no way to evade this attack,” she stated.
She also mentioned that, according to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, “no country will be able to access such technology for at least a few years.”
Context
- North Korea frequently asserts its “undeniable nuclear state” status and conducts missile launches targeting seas.
- On September 20, North Korea launched two short-range ballistic missiles from the Wonsan area towards the East Sea. According to British defense publication Janes, their flight characteristics suggest they are likely derivatives of the KN-23 missile family.
