SBU Prevents Over 400 Terrorist Attacks and Sabotage Attempts During War

The head of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) emphasized that the country has established a robust national defense system during the ongoing war, integral to which is the SBU.
The agency conducts special operations hundreds to thousands of kilometers away from the front line, actively combating the enemy on the battlefield while countering Russian attempts to destabilize the home front.
“We are in a constant struggle, denying Russia even the slightest chance to undermine the situation within the country,” said SBU head Poklad.
Counterintelligence agents are daily exposing and apprehending Russian spies, agents, and traitors.
SBU personnel are developing new technologies, modernizing weapons, and enhancing existing systems to adapt faster than their adversaries.
“We did not initiate this war. But it is up to us to ensure that Ukraine emerges from it strong, sovereign, and capable of securing its future,” the head of the Security Service asserted.
Context
- In September, political expert Oleksiy Kurpas noted that the Russian drone strike on the SBU building on September 4 was not merely another attack on Kyiv, but rather an acknowledgment of the successful operations of the Security Service. Since 2022, the SBU has uncovered 150 enemy networks involving 648 individuals. Just in early 2026, 20 more networks and 81 of their members were identified. Over the past year and a half, the agency has also revealed over 1,100 participants in sabotage and terrorist activities.
