Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has regained approximately 800 square kilometers of territory, while Russia has taken control of around 890 square kilometers. Zelensky described the situation on the battlefield as nearly stagnant, with minimal movement occurring.
He noted that the Russian military has suffered significant losses amidst this ongoing conflict, estimating that around 260,000 to 270,000 Russian soldiers have been lost this year alone. Zelensky emphasized that although these casualties may not signify defeat for the Kremlin, they indicate an unfavorable situation for President Vladimir Putin.
“The battlefield dynamics are not in Putin’s favor. Therefore, it is true that he is not achieving victories,” Zelensky stated.
