The Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) has uncovered an extensive network of conversion centers responsible for handling approximately 23.5 billion UAH since the beginning of 2023. This operation was conducted under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General. According to BEB Director Oleksandr Tyvynskyi, the monthly turnover of this network was around 500 million UAH.
Estimated budget losses due to tax evasion could reach 3 billion UAH. The operation involved raids in major cities including Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa, where BEB detectives executed around 50 searches and seized millions of hryvnias in unaccounted cash. Participants in the scheme have already been informed of the charges against them. The operation also involved the State Border Guard Service and Cyber Police.
