Ukrainian General Chereshnya and Patria Sign Drone Production Agreement in Finland

Ukrainian General Chereshnya and the Finnish defense company Patria have formalized a memorandum of intent to manufacture drones in Finland. These drones will primarily serve the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The agreement was signed during a Ukrainian-Finnish roundtable that featured discussions led by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

Patria boasts over 100 years of experience in the defense industry and holds a 50% stake in Nammo. The company specializes in producing technology for land, sea, and air systems across Europe. This new initiative aims to incorporate the expertise of mass drone production tailored for real combat scenarios and rapid refining based on frontline data.

Both Finland and Ukraine share a common aggressor, and this partnership is being developed against that backdrop of mutual threat. The collaboration will leverage Finland’s manufacturing capabilities alongside Ukraine’s engineering expertise in defense technology, contributing to the security architecture of Europe.
