Ukrainian Drone Attack on Moscow Involves Over 600 Drones

Moscow’s air defense systems intercepted 180 drones overnight as part of one of the largest Ukrainian aerial assaults on the city, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
On Tuesday morning, Sobyanin reported that at least 620 drones were launched towards the Russian capital’s region overnight. He added that there were three reported injuries, including a 10-year-old girl, as confirmed by regional governor Andrei Vorobiov.
The drones targeted a warehouse of the Russian e-commerce company Wildberries and other sites near Moscow, Vorobiov stated. Wildberries, frequently hit in assaults from Kyiv since Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, later reported minor damage to the warehouse after drone debris struck a wall.
According to Sobyanin, the drone strikes occurred from Monday evening until Tuesday morning, prompting Moscow authorities to temporarily restrict flights at local airports.
